Elite Sports Proudly Presents Carey CavAnaugh Setting Clinic July 15th and 16th 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Advanced players 7th through 12th grade Players will develop their tactical and technical setting styles. Space will be limited & will be filled according to date application and payment is received. The cost is $ 85.00 Application deadline June 23rd Molten setters balls will available during the clinic at a special clinic price of $20.00 a savings of 50% Cavanaugh, a former Division I player with multiple levels of coaching experience, brings a broad knowledge of volleyball and an understanding of player development. Cavanaugh demonstrated her talent in leading the Yeowomen in 2005. Her guidance resulted in triple the number of wins from 2004. The team raised their expectations for success, undoubtedly leading to greater competitive outcomes. Prior to her arrival at Oberlin, Cavanaugh spent three seasons as an assistant coach for Kent State University. While with the Golden Flashes, she worked with the team’s setters, assisting with their tactical and technical development while also implementing offensive and defensive game plans. A graduate of East Tennessee State University, Cavanaugh earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management as a member of the Dean’s list. She captained the Buccaneers for three seasons and was named to the All-Southern Conference team three times. She was the 2001 Southern Conference Player of Year and the East Tennessee State Athlete of the Year in 2001-2002. |
